Home care software built for Arizona Medicaid EVV.

Arizona routes EVV through the AHCCCS aggregator (Sandata specification). Homecare App captures every Medicaid visit with GPS clock-in and clock-out, coded reasons and an audit trail, and its AHCCCS connector is built to the published specification — the certification is completed with your agency as the sponsoring provider, at no cost to you.

Web-based, nothing to install. Hosted on AWS under a Business Associate Agreement.
Where this standsStatus in Arizona: the AHCCCS connector is built to the published specification and tested against it and against a faithful mock of the aggregator. It is not yet certified in Arizona; certification is completed with the first Arizona agency as sponsoring provider, before any production visit is sent.
Home care software for Arizona agencies

Built for how Arizona actually receives EVV

Arizona agencies live inside two sets of rules: AHCCCS (Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System)'s, and AHCCCS's. The software was built to both — the state's EVV requirements in the visit record, AHCCCS's interface in the connector — so the agency does the work once and the aggregator gets it in its own format. Vendor choice since October 1, 2025 — AHCCCS runs its own aggregator.

How EVV works in Arizona

One aggregator: AHCCCS's own, on the Sandata specification

The state runs the aggregator

Since October 1, 2025 AHCCCS operates its own aggregator and no longer sponsors a capture app: every agency runs its own EVV system and every vendor completes technical testing with AHCCCS before its first submission.

Same interface, AHCCCS's addendum

The interface is the Sandata Alt-EVV specification — clients, employees, visits, status — with AHCCCS's values: caregivers by SSN, the client's nine-digit AHCCCS ID as the custom ID, AHCCCS's reason codes.

Live-in caregivers

AHCCCS's specification adds a cross-reference segment for live-in caregivers; it is a flag on the account, sent when the visit calls for it.

Arizona specifics

AHCCCS took the aggregator in-house on October 1, 2025 and no longer sponsors a capture app; every vendor completes technical testing with AHCCCS before its first submission. The interface follows the Sandata Alt-EVV specification, with AHCCCS's own addendum.

Getting started

Your first month in Arizona

Sponsor and credentialsYour agency is the sponsoring provider: one attestation to the state and one to the aggregator, and the aggregator issues test credentials. We prepare both with you.
Configure from the presetFinance → EVV aggregators: the state's preset fills qualifiers, reason codes and config from the published addendum; the issued ids and credentials go on top. The account says Ready when nothing is missing.
CertifyWe run the aggregator's test cases against their test environment with your test patients, fix anything they flag, and ask for their review. Then production credentials.
Go liveFlip the account to production and turn the worker on. From then on every closed Medicaid visit is queued at clock-out and reaches the aggregator within minutes, with its verdict read back.

Questions

Questions Arizona agencies ask

Is there a free state app in Arizona?

Not any more. Since October 2025 AHCCCS runs the aggregator only; each agency brings its own EVV system and the vendor tests directly with AHCCCS.

What does testing with AHCCCS involve?

AHCCCS issues test credentials and a base URL under a sponsoring provider; we send clients, employees and visits to their test aggregator and work through their checks. We do this with your agency as sponsor, at no cost to you.

Can we start before testing is done?

Yes. Everything but the send works from day one, and every Medicaid visit is captured with GPS and coded reasons; visits queue and go the day the account is live.

Which Arizona programs does this cover?

Personal care, home health, attendant care, respite and habilitation — every service AHCCCS (Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System) requires EVV for. AHCCCS took the aggregator in-house on October 1, 2025 and no longer sponsors a capture app; every vendor completes technical testing with AHCCCS before its first submission. The interface follows the Sandata Alt-EVV specification, with AHCCCS's own addendum.
