Wyoming: CareBridge in the path to the billing system
Wyoming's Division of Healthcare Financing introduced CareBridge as its EVV contractor in a March 2021 welcome letter, and the free state-sponsored CareBridge system went live for providers on February 15, 2022. An agency can use another vendor, but its system still has to meet the Cures Act and be able to talk to CareBridge.
That connection matters because of how Wyoming bills. For personal-care-like home and community-based services, EVV information has to reach CareBridge for it to reach the HCBS program and for Medicaid claims to be submitted correctly to the Medicaid billing system. An agency already using an EVV system registers it through the Third-Party EVV Vendor Intake Form.

Wyoming agencies live inside two sets of rules: Wyoming Department of Health, Division of Healthcare Financing's, and CareBridge's. A file, not an API
CareBridge takes a pipe-delimited visit file over SFTP and answers with a response file. The software writes the file in the state's column order, uploads it, and reads the response back into each visit.
