Georgia's home health EVV start - September 2026
Georgia's Department of Community Health (DCH) uses Netsmart for EVV and lets agencies choose their own system, at their own cost, as long as it meets DCH's requirements and the Cures Act. A third-party system needs two attestations: the agency signs one and sends it to DCH, and the vendor signs one and returns it to Netsmart. Integration follows.
Home health is the newest part of Georgia's program. DCH moved the soft go-live for home health to August 31, 2026, and from September 14, 2026, every applicable home health claim with a date of service on or after that day must be submitted through EVV. For this rollout DCH reopened third-party integrations, but only for vendors already supporting at least one enrolled Georgia Medicaid provider.

Waivers in scope
The Elderly and Disabled waiver (CCSP and SOURCE) and the NOW and COMP waivers are among the programs with EVV codes.

Home health (category of service 200, specialty 088) requires physician orders, with prior authorization per the program manuals.
Integration limited to active vendors
For home health, integration is open only to vendors supporting at least one enrolled Georgia Medicaid provider.
