An agency may keep its own EVV system if it complies with the Cures Act, is configured to Arkansas DHS's EVV System Rules, and captures every required field, so that visits can be sent to Fiserv and loaded into AuthentiCare for daily claims processing.
The rule Arkansas stresses is that EVV follows the procedure code, not the billing route: claims for covered codes and modifiers are subject to EVV however they are submitted - through AuthentiCare, through a third-party EVV vendor, or through a PASSE. Even an agency using its own system must log into AuthentiCare and associate each caregiver with the agency.
